BLS Ambulance Program Begins

Congratulations to the 12 Ambulance Operators (AO's) who graduated from GFD's first Ambulance Operator academy on Jan. 26. Two Basic Life Support ambulances began providing service on Glendale streets the following day with two AO's working 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and two working from noon to midnight. Similar programs in other fire departments have been very successful. Above are AO's James Rohrig and Charlie Kimball.

Three Promoted and Sworn In

Firefighter Jason Bess (left) was promoted to Fire Engineer, Firefighter/Paramedic Richard Bush (middle) was promoted to Fire Captain, and Firefighter Cordell Harges (right) was promoted to Fire Captain during a pinning ceremony at Station 21 on January 19. Congratulations to all three!
