Among the many disasters that could befall a city of Glendale’s size and geographic location are major fires, earthquakes, flooding, mudslides, and even terrorist attacks. The Glendale Fire Department is committed to providing emergency services when disasters such as these arise. However, in a major disaster, resources will be spread thin, leading to potential delays in delivering help. Fortunately, there are many ways citizens can equip and educate themselves in case a disaster occurs.
The following information is to provide you with the necessary tools to prepare yourself and your family for an emergency:
- Glendale CERT: The mission of the Glendale Community Emergency Response Team program is to train Glendale citizens to assist in saving and sustaining lives following an emergency or disastrous event by applying basic response and organizational skills to their communities, families and neighborhoods until professional emergency response arrives.
